Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
I have never been a runner (even though my parents insisted for me to take part in cross country at school), I am not built like a runner, however last year I started doing the Coventry Parkrun 5km and have kind of become hooked on running since! I am doing a 10km in May, then have decided to set myself a challenge and complete the Great North Run in September.
I am running for the British Heart Foundation. You may or may not know that in 2009 I had heart surgery to cure my Supraventricular Tachychardia (AV Nodal Re-Entrant Tachychardia). Although not a life threatening illness it was very scary time for all of us, particuarly because I was rather young to have a heart problem.
I am therefore raising money for the British Heart Foundation as it is very close to my heart (quite literally) and I feel that this is an extremely worthwhile cause and one which I want to be involved with.
I have never done anthing like this before; running long distances and raising a large amount for charity, so I really hope you can sponsor me and anything, however small will be greatly appreciated. Also if any of you have any training tips they would be appreciated too!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
