Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2018 I hiked 26 miles for charity and was set a challenge to see if I could walk further this year....... I planned to hike 60miles across the Jurassic coastline and cliffs on June 8th to raise funds for Guide Dogs. However a severely broken toe just a month before the hike has made this impossible. So, having got approval from Guide Dogs and having consulted some of my lovely sponsors, I have decided to defer my charity hike. Instead I will be hiking slightly further..... 63miles around the whole of the Isle of Wight and continuing tobraise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
As a member of the veterinary profession I have the privilege to work with Guide Dogs and their owners. These dogs never fail to impress me... their quiet, intelligence, their sweet natures and the amazing job they do. They are all wonderful dogs doing a fantastic job.
I have pledged to raise £650. It costs many more thousands to support a guide dog from its training to its retirement. It would be fantastic if I, with help from my friends and sponsers, could raise this money or even more to help support a guide dog.
I am a little anxious about hiking 63miles....but I am on my own for that. But with the fund raising, hopefully, I will have people supporting me. Please help support me in my efforts and help support this worthwhile charity
