On November the 18th I will be undertaking the biggest physical challenge of my lifetime..........cycling 400km from Vietnam to Cambodia. Now anyone who knows me will understand that I am not as fit as I should be and therefore this really will be a challenge!! It entails 400km of cycling where the terrain and the distances will be a real test....not to mention the dodgy padded cycling shorts I will have to wear!!

The funds I raise through sponsorship will help to research, prevent, diagnose and treat a range of devastating conditions which can cause miscarriage, genetic diseases, infertillity and cancer.

The fundamental aim of the charity is to ensure that women have ongoing good health throughout their lives and to ensure that more women have a healthy pregnancy and a thriving baby.

So far I have raised £1045.40 from a fabulous Ladies Shopping Night at Loppington Village Hall in November 2010.  On February 9th a whacking £350 was raised with a girls, gossip and gastronomy evening at Willow Tree Cottage.  Alison scored top marks of 11 out of 10 from every guest! Special thanks must also go to 'Tanya's Taxi's' and Tim the Sous Chef. Ladies you were all fabulous - have a look if you've been captured by the camera! Further dining experiences at Horton Hall (thank you Jane and family) and Wolverley Hall have jointly raised an amazing £613.75. All the 'Come Dine With Me' evenings are to be match funded by Barclays Bank - absolutely fantastic! Extra cycling sessions for me to burn off the calories consumed!! My lovely nieces, Anna and Ellie aged 8 and 6, have also been busy doing chores and giving up treats in order to donate £21.46 to this wonderful cause.  Barclays Bank have donated £750 to Women for Women to match the amount raised at the Come Dine With Me evenings. This is a fantastic amount and brings me very close to my target!!
