This year my mother in law was diagnosed with cancer and although she attempted treatment unfortunatly it did not suit her. We got told by our local hospital that there was nothing more they could do to help and we asked if she could be refered to Myton Hospice.

She has sadly passed away in Myton Hospice 12 weeks to the day that she had first gone into hospital. The staff there are so caring & thoughtful, they do not just care for the patient, they also care fo the entire family.

Myton hospice has restored her dignity and faith in the human race as the cancer has really torn her apart.

It costs approximatly £300 per day to keep 1 patient, the hospice has to raise over £5.2 million per annum to keep going. Myton hospice is purely charity based and until now I did not realise this.

I am so grateful that they are able to care for my mother in law and give us as a family the emotional support needed.
