Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On Sunday 9th October 2016, a group of Anna's friends and family will be walking from Ripon to Fountains Abbey and back.
The walkers include: Tom King (Anna's brother), Juliette Willems (Anna's auntie), Jason Willems (Anna's uncle), Jane Champion, Abbie, Annette & Keith Stainthorpe, Robyn Holmes, Angela Bodey, John Sprague, Ali Pire, .......and Caroline King (Anna's mum).
We will be raising money for Papyrus in memory of Anna who sadly took her own life two years ago on 8th October 2014 aged just 19. Anna lived most of her life in Ripon - moving here when she was 1 - and many people know her. One of her friends recently said she was always the life and soul - completely over the top - and there for others - the last person you'd have thought.......
As well as walking to remember Anna, we will be fundraising to enable Papyrus to offer other young people help, advice and support - at difficult times in their lives.
HOPEWalk is an annual appeal to raise awareness and fundraise for PAPYRUS - Prevention of Young Suicide - to help save young lives and shatter the stigma surrounding young suicide. Last year HOPEWalk raised £11,000 to help to extend the hours of the national helpline HOPELinkUK as well as to provide training for more people across the country as suicide first-aiders.
Whilst not as much of a physical challenge as the London to Brighton Bike Ride we did in her memory last year, the cause is as important now as it was then and any donation would be gratefully received ....
You can also donate by text - just text ANNK52 followed by your amount
(ensure you leave space between ANNK52 and the £x) to 70070.
