In November 2011 I will be joining an amazing group of determined and motivated women in a challenge of a lifetime - a 400km ride through the Rift Valley in Kenya from Mount Kenya to Lake Victoria.  This will involve 5 days of cycling both on and off road, early starts, long days in the saddle, and weary crawls up long climbs. 

I'm challenging myself to raise money for 3 charities:  Breast Cancer Care, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.  A donation will also be made to support cancer care in Kenya - the Faraja Trust. 

My first hurdle is to get fit!  Now I'm 40 (!!) and I'm celebrating by pushing myself to see what I'm really capable of.  The training's going well - good days and bad days, if I'm honest.  I know it is going to be tremendous physical and mental challenge. Please help me to achieve my target to raise money for these charities.
