Story
I am taking on a big challenge trekking Mount Kilimanjaro in
June, during which I will be facing not only long steep walks daily but dealing with the effects of altitude sickness. In doing this I will be raising money for the Children’s Burns Club based at Broomfield Hospital. Part of my training will also be running Brighton Marathon on 9th April.
The Children’s Burns Club is a charity that offers support
to young burn survivors and their families to help them come to terms with burn
trauma and altered body image. The support they receive helps to build self-esteem, confidence and expectations after a burn injury and creates a place where children, their parents and siblings don’t feel judged. The Club
further provides a much needed support network with children and families who
have been through similar experiences. The Club organises day trips, camps and other experiences important to the recovery of these children. Please see link below to a short video for more information on the Children’s Burns Club.

Please donate however big or small to help the Club continue
their vital work.
