Thanks for having a look at my page, and thinking about donating.   Team Verrico is an amazing charity, which was set up in memory of Anna Verrico who died from triple negative breast cancer in 2013.  

They support families of those diagnosed with rare or hard to treat cancers, particularly triple negative breast cancer.  I heard of them because they have been supporting a friend of mine who was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer 5 years ago.  She has been battling it since then, and she shares her real thoughts about her treatment.  She's made me realise how lucky I am to be fit enough to go out on my bike when i choose, and for how long I choose (among other reasons I have to be thankful!).  Her posts often make me tear up because she is so honest about what is going on in her life.

So, this year (2022), I am trying to raise money for this fantastic charity, which supports her and others in practical ways, by funding childcare when someone is attending an appointment, arranging food parcels, second opinions, access to treatments not available on the NHS, and counselling, to name a few things they provide.  They do not have any salaried staff, so every penny goes to the places its needed.

I am taking part in a few cycling events this year, all of which are funded either by me or I've been given places, so again, every penny I am sponsored will go towards the charity.  Last year, I clocked up over 2500 miles (including Land's End to John O'Groats), so will aim to beat it this year (might regret that statement).  I will post some of my rides on Facebook, so follow me there or on strava if you are interested, but please do give something to this really really great cause.
