Story
Yes it's a Marathon.. At Midnight on the 13th of June we will be walking 26.2 miles in memory of a very special Mum, Sister and Auntie. Carole's Angels are 7 family members who wanted to honour her memory by doing something she would enjoy herself. Carole always kept fit.. netball, jogging, kettle bells... you name it, she did it!!
One of the saddest moment's during her battle was losing the ability to walk, to put one foot in front of the other became a challenge when the cancer had spread throughout her body. Walking is something most of us take for granted and by doing this challenge, we hope to raise awareness and money to aid others who may find themselves going through what Carole and our family experienced.
Carole was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and was in remission only to be given the devastating news last May that an aggressive form of bone cancer had returned. Sadly six months later Carole passed away.
The word Carole used to describe what she was going through was SHIT...
So yes CANCER is SHIT...
LIFE can be SHIT...
And at times our training has left us feeling SHIT and during this walk there will be some tough times along the way..
But it's nothing compared with the pain that cancer causes and leaves behind!
So please dig deep & sponsor us, maybe one day they will find a cure for Cancer but until then lets raise as much money as possible to maybe give family's who are living with cancer more time and make life just that little bit easier.
