Karen and I did not know each other in June 2016 when we were both diagnosed with breast cancer, our journey through treatment has brought us together and sealed a friendship for life. It has been difficult to cope with the thought of cancer but what has helped immensely is having access to support at the Maggie's Cancer Centre in Edinburgh.  We both attend a "moving on" group which is helping us come to terms with the past and not to be fearful of the future  

The Maggie's help so many people and until you walk through the door you really don't have an understanding of the work they do.

Karen and I are hosting a Ladies LBD auction fundraiser in May 2017 to raise funds for Maggie's, we never anticipated the demand for tickets to attend the event and it sold out in a few hours.already we have had some great donations from an overnight at the Barony castle hotel, overnight at The Sun Inn with lots of beauty and meals out.  We will do a list of the prizes before the auction so if you want to bid let me know.

Many of our friends cannot attend due to the numbers being restricted but would like to donate something so this page will help them do that.  If this event is successful which I'm sure it will be we will host another and make sure we have lots of space for those who missed out this time.

We could not do this alone, many friends are helping to organise and raise funds for this event and we would like to say a big thank you to them all.
