Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On June 2nd 2012, Jubilee weekend I expected to be celebrating like my friends and family. In fact on Saturday morning I collapsed at home with an undiagnosed brain tumour. I'd had no warning of this except a few episodes of double vision which the optician said were eye strain. It was a massive frontal lobe tumour pressing on my brain and I was lucky enough to be taken from Bedford to Addenbrookes Neurology Dept, Cambridge where an amazing team of surgeons operated on Sunday and removed all the benign tumour.
I am making a full recovery. Not everyone is so lucky. Many have cancerous tumours or inoperable ones. Still no one knows the cause of brain tumours and much more research is needed and support for sufferers and their families. This cause is severely underfunded.
Please give to this fantastic organisation to help find the cause of brain tumours and continue support for those who need it. Thank you so much. Carol xx
