Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Following my diagnosis of bowel cancer in June 2009,subsequent operation and six months of chemotherapy, Jonathan thought that entering us for the Great North Swim in 2010 would spur me back to health. My fitness has gradually improved with the help of the children's swimming teacher Gina and we have even ventured into the open water which used to terrify me.

We decided to complete the one mile swim in Windemere to raise money for 'Beating Bowel Cancer' Charity. This will raise awareness of this disease and help the charity support  research into a cure so that nobody has to go through what we have.Dad is also on the road to recovery following his diagnosis and treatment of the disease too.

Thank you for your donation and we look forward to recording a good time at 2pm on 4th September 2010 !
