Story
My Coast 2 Coast Cycle Challenge
I wanted this year to raise some money for a charity (which is close to my heart, The National Autistic Society) whilst at the same time setting myself a personal challenge.
Those of you that know me will know that I enjoying cycling locally (around Rutland) - but this is a cycle ride with a difference - for me of huge magnitude!!
I have decided to cycle the Coast 2 Coast cycle route from Whitehaven in the west of England to Tynemouth in the East of England. My challenge is to do the 165 mile bike ride over three days.
My challenge begins on the morning of Friday 17 September 2010 from Whitehaven and ends on Sunday 19 September in Tynemouth.
I want to raise as much money as I can on this occasion as I doubt very much that I will ever be able to repeat a challenge such as this!!!!
Any amount of money you are able to donate, no matter how small, will be very much appreciated and will make my personal challenge all the more memorable and meaningful.
Wish me luck!! (I'll need it).
