My sister, Gill died of ovarian cancer in 2018. She he lived with late stage disease for 5 years. Some of those years were easier than others. During that time as a lover of walking and the countryside she set herself challenges. One of those challenges was walking Hadrian's Wall. A little bit at a time. I am older than she was when she died but I am well. The least I can do is try to do 26 miles all in one go to raise some money so other women can live longer, have less unpleasant treatments and their loved ones don't have to say goodbye and find a way to live without them.
