Story
I have signed up to participate in the Patagonia challenge to raise much needed funds for a fantastic facility. Inspired by Allan’s love of mountains and hill walking, I have decided to push myself to do something in his memory that would benefit others and take me out of my comfort zone. During Allan’s illness, he was supported by the fabulous team of medical professionals at St Andrew’s Hospice (through MacMillan nurses) and received pain management from a wonderful team. This is my opportunity to give back and help a local charity who rely solely on donations to provide the palliative care to the people of Lanarkshire.
Please help me to help them by supporting me in this challenge of a lifetime.
Thanks in advance for your support.
St. Andrew’s Hospice endeavours to provide a high standard of specialist palliative care to the people of Lanarkshire, encompassing human dignity and compassion. As Lanarkshire's only specialist palliative care hospice, we provide multidisciplinary support for our patients, their families and carers. Whilst we receive funding from NHS Lanarkshire and other sources, this only partially covers our running costs. Continued provision of these services is only made possible by the generosity and assistance of the people of Lanarkshire.
