Story
Hi everyone! I am participating in 'Off the Beatson Track' this year, a 10km walk round Glasgow's beautiful West End. It takes place on Sunday 28th August, which happens to be the eve of what would have been my Dad's 90th birthday. In his memory, I'm raising funds for this wonderful charity which helps support people who's lives are currently being touched by cancer. Any contribution would be so appreciated or if you'd like to join in, please feel free to sign up and take part with me! Dad loved a good walk, and he also loved the history and architecture of Glasgow so it will be a perfect way to remember him - and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun too.
The Beatson Cancer Charity exists to enhance the lives of patients living with cancer across the west of Scotland. We rely on voluntary donations to allow us to invest in services, staff, research, and education to provide a better future for those affected by cancer. We aim to make the journey easier by transforming the way patients are cared for and the way treatment is funded.Whether it is in the hospital ward, or within the community, we believe no one in Scotland should experience cancer without care, without love and without hope.Let's make this year's Off The Beatson Track the biggest and brightest yet.Thank you for being with us
