Story

Hello everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may or may not know, I've been doing a bit of running lately and have now decided to take on a new challenge. On April 17th 2011 I will be running the London Marathon and would love to be able to raise as much money as I can for Guide Dogs.

This is a fabulous charity that is very close to my heart as I have seen first hand what an incredible difference a guide dog can make to someone's life. (Please see the picture of beautiful Drew- my Auntie's guide dog!) This is a charity that receives no government funding and the service is entirely dependent on voluntary donations.

So, if you have had a fiver burning a hole in your pocket, please sponsor me as this is such a great cause that helps so many blind and partially sighted people in the UK. Every penny raised will make those 20 mile Sunday morning runs pounding the pavements of London seem all worth while!

Thank you for all of your help and support and I will let you all know how I get on.

Lots of love

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
