As most of you that know, I Carly Carter ( yep me ;-) Is probably one of the lazyest people you know. How do I spend my days off work? Go for a run? Go for a 10+ mile bike ride? Walk miles taking in this beautiful world? Huh NO I take my children to school go home and spend the next 6hours sleeping and watching rubbish day time tv until its time to do the school run again. So you may be shocked to learn that lazy Carly (should that be CRAZY Carly) has signed up to cycle 400km through the rift valleys of Kanya on the 15th of June 2013 in association with Women V Cancer. the bike ride will be 5days long averaging 80km a day. It hurts just thinking about it but I am determained with the help of an equally crazy friend Hollie Willard that we will complete this challenge together. To give you an insight into how I will be spending these 5days- (Quote from WVC manual) Our cycle challenge starts on the slopes of Mount Kenya, Africa's second tallest peak (Doesn't that mean Mountain? Whatttt) This extinct volcano dominates the central Kenyan Highlands at 5199m. We encounter Savannah Plains, Game Parks ( I don't fancy my chances there, I will be peddling super fast) And Tropical Rainforests (oooo Bugs) I'm raising money for 3 brilliant charities including Breast Cancer care, Jo's Cerical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action. PLEASE PLEASE help me reach my target of £3000 to help women fight Cancer. Everyone will be affected by this horrid disease whether it's through a family member, friend or you yourself. For me it was my Wonderful, Warm Caring Beautiful Nan. I should also add someone Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunty, Cousin and Friend.like everyone who knew her I was devastated at the time, am still and always will be. So it's my turn to give back and to help others in the future, Do you have it in your heart to sponser me and help me reach my target xxxx
