Story
I am fundraising for Project Riandu.
The money will go towards building a secondary school for over 200 deaf children in Riandu in Kenya. There are only 5 secondary schools for deaf children in Kenya and none in the Eastern province of the country meaning most deaf children have no access to secondary education.
The Peter Cowley Africa Trust has been working with communities in the area for a long time and was approached with the idea for this project by local people. In order to make this happen, dedicated teams in the UK and Kenya will work together over the next three years to finance, plan and build the school. Here's the website for more information: http://www.projectriandu.com/index.html
All donations directly go towards materials and services for building the school.
To fundraise, I'm doing a 20 mile 200 obstacles race on 10 May. This one: http://www.ratracedirtyweekend.com . It will be pretty tough (especially given that I hate running) but your donation makes the training a little bit easier.
Thank you!
