Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It comes at no surprise that I am running again for the Colonels Fund. 6 years ago I did it in a below average 5:12:01 (it hurt so bad), but this year I aim to get around 3:30:00, (it will still hurt).
Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan have shaped Grenadiers over the past couple of decades and left its share of scares, missing limbs and bereaved family members to care for. The Colonel's Fund helps give back to the Grenadier family who have made sacrifices along the way.
75% of my closest Grenadier friends are missing an eye, fingers, legs or a combination of these. I have been more fortunate, twice blown up but my injuries are small compared to most however losing my brother in Afghanistan has been one of the most difficult challenges I have ever faced. These distant lands have left mental scars in many soldiers that will need nursing for years to come.
Please make a donation to help the Colonel's Fund, Grenadier Guards who will continue to help my extended Grenadier Family.
