My friend Alistair Morfey and I are cycling from Land's End to John o'Groats during the first two weeks of June. We are taking a scenic route and hope to cover around 1,000 miles in about 12 days.

 

Al and I go back a long way having met at Primary School in Whitchurch. During our teenage years we did several 10 day cycling tours both to Lands End and through Mid Wales. My recollection of these rides is me desperately trying to keep up and I suspect not much will have changed all these years later!!

 

We lived in Nettlebed for quite a few years very close to the Sue Ryder Home and during this time I came to respect this charity enormously. We also made good use of the grounds when the kids were young and I would love to give something back.
