Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We hope you've had some laughs and enjoyed our comedy line up, hosted by the brilliant Alex Haddow. We would like to take this opportunity to shine a light on a local charity that does so much to support the vulnerable in Brighton and Hove.
Cardens is committed to supporting local charities in Brighton and Hove, and we have a long-standing relationship with Off The Fence homeless trust. We want to do everything we can to give the team a much-needed boost during what has been a challenging year for the charities sector. So, if you can spare what you can to lend a helping hand to the hardworking team who are busy all year round.
“At Off The Fence we love to put a smile on the faces of our clients – whether it be a stop and chat encounter on the street, a laugh and a hug with one of the women we support at Gateway Women’s Centre or as part of our school work with kids that need a little extra support to get them through the day.
"This year has been a turning point for us. Faced with the necessity of buying the freehold of our Gateway Centre, we have managed to raise all the funds needed to do that in just over six weeks. We have moved from analogue to digital in the way we work and have had face-to-face encounters with over 8000 individuals in Brighton & Hove this year. And we have survived Covid. So far anyway!
"We really appreciate Cardens using this Comedy Night to support the work that we do with the homeless, women in crisis and school children. If you would like to find out more about our work please visit (and subscribe to) our website: www.offthefence.org.uk” - Roy Stannard at Off The Fence
