Story
This year has been incredibly tough on everyone. While we reflect on the challenges and heartbreaks, and lament the fact that we can't meet up in person to exchange novelty socks and jangly antlers, we wanted to also do something positive. We might not be able to head over to our office in Stratford but we can still make a difference to the people of Newham by donating what we can to the Magpie Project.
The Magpie Project provides support and advice to parents of under-5s suffering through temporary or insecure accommodation. Newham has the unfortunate honour of leading other London boroughs in the number of people in temporary accommodation, child poverty rates and homeless referrals. It is estimated that 4,994 children live in temporary accommodation across Newham.
By donating what we can we can help the Magpie Project continue to provide much needed support and bring a bit of Christmas magic to children at risk of homelessness by providing gifts and treats.
