Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After the resounding success of last years event and upon popular demand - its welcome back to the one, the only...
CAMP! BEAR PATROL
DATES: arrive Friday 8th June and depart Monday 11th June.
SPACES: 20 people maximum
FUNDRAISING ELEMENT OF THE TRIP - for the SUSSEX BEACON:
Our merry group of campers will be required to donate up to 4 hours of their own time each day carrying out various tasks around the site.
A minimum donation of £30 per person is required to take part.
That means that if we get all 20 Bears working in the woods on both days the total amount payable to the Beacon could be as much as £600.
Of course, as last year, if anyone can raise additional sponsorship from friends and family then that could add to this figure to help us hit out target of £1000
NATURE OF TASKS
As the owner of Hammonds Wood, Joc Hare, is in the process of bringing the whole area back to its natural state he has said the tasks involved would be manual in nature such as, for example, planting trees, mulching roots and more delicate tasks involving plants.
CAMPSITE: Its really lovely...here’s a link to an article about it in the Guardian penned by our very own Bear Patrol group member Neil Jewitt: http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/2009/oct/17/camping-free-working-holiday-east-sussex
