Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Late in 2010, Si and I were chatting about a challenge for the New Year which would get us fit and not just involve the standard joining of a gym in early Jan and stopping by Feb. So when Simon suggested the Soldier Challenge, a new charity event, with very little information available on it... I said yes... and then realised what I had signed up to!

It eventually emerged that the Soldier Challenge is actually open to the military and will test everything from quick thinking, to endurance as a taste of the training that the armed forces go through. A team of 3 of us will tackle the 4hr, 35 event, urban adventure through the streets of London and we’re expecting to cover the equivalent of a half marathon getting between the challenges which will include assault courses, abseiling, kayaking and a whole host of other challenges which will only be disclosed on the day!

Team “Cool Running’s” – Dave Finnegan, Si Rolls and myself - will  be raising money for ABF The Soldiers Charity which supports help soldiers (both current and retired) and their families through the more challenging moments, whether it be re-training a soldier leaving the military, supporting soldiers injured in action, or the families of the bereaved.

Any support you can give will go to a great cause!
