Story
The Bottle Match between Camborne School of Mines and Royal School of Mines is one of the country's oldest varsity events, dating back to 1902.
In honour of this, those who are playing in it for the first time receive a haircut that not even a mother could love, all in the name of charity. I have two weeks to try and raise as much money as possible for Sporting Minds UK to be in with a chance of preserving my hair (and dignity) the best I can.
All donations to this page go towards raising awareness and providing support to enable positive mental health in young sports people. This cause is undeniably a great one, with too many among us that have been affected by such issues whether it be directly, indirectly, or both. By opening a door to young adults that enables them to use sport as a release and as means of support, Sporting Minds hopes to bring these issues to light.
It goes without saying that the main point of this is to raise money for charity, but there is also a positive correlation between the amount of money an individual raises and how appalling the haircut is, so any donations will be appreciated on more than one front.
