Story
We all know that during Christmas time our hearts are not only
filled & warmed with thoughts of happy times with family, presents, great food etc. but also with being kind to others. Although not only limited to the last month of the year, we teach our children that Christmas is not necessarily about unwrapping presents but also about giving to those less fortunate than ourselves or helping charities in the build up to Christmas.
A helping hand, a donation, a small gift and other gestures –
small actions make big changes and can bring a smile to someone’s face. Last year we have chosen Toiletries Amnesty as a charity we wanted to support. With the help of the entire team we have been able to donate spare toiletries to the charity working with homeless shelters and hostels, women and children’s refuges, mental health services, children and families centres, food banks, refugee support groups, schools and colleges, prison services, community groups, and other organisations.
With COVID restrictions and social distancing measures in place,
we wanted to achieve a similar outcome and asked the team to select a charity close to our heart we would like us all to support.
