SHINE works with teachers, school and other organisations to help disadvantaged children across the North of England to achieve the best possible qualifications so they leave school with real choices in their future lives. They work to develop innovative programmes that support the most disadvantaged young people.

In the North of England, only 34% of disadvantaged children get 5 good GCSEs at school. More children in the North are left without the basics they need to continue studying or get a well-paid job. SHINE believe that all children in the North deserve the same educational chances.
