In 2008 Joan was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (Progressive bulbar palsy(PBP)). After her diagnosis she was given around 12 months to live. During the next few months her condition quickly deteriorated and she sadly passed away in May 2009. 

Therefore, I have chosen the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) as the charity I would like to raise money for.

I am doing a sponsored beard shave for charity. As many of you know, I treasure having a beard so this will be hard. However, its for a good cause and it would feel great knowing I had raised money for charity. 

Please feel free to donate, small or large it's going to a great cause and hopefully we'll soon see the end of MND.
