It is the time of year when the Church gives thanks for the harvest and here at Caldicott we normally take in food for the Slough Foodbank who then distribute it amongst those in need in the area.
Now more than ever, there is need in the community. The pandemic has resulted in an exceptional increase in the number of people finding themselves in a position whereby they are needing help.
However, our local foodbank has asked us if we could take a monetary collection this year instead as they are struggling to keep up with storage and the necessary 'quarantining' of donations. I have fully agreed with this and therefore most humbly ask that rather than sending in small hampers you instead consider making a donation which the good people at the foodbank will use to ensure they have the right things in stock.
Yours ever
