Story
Having work for the charity for almost 2 years and seen many worth while challenges been undertaken, I thought it's my turn now. The ‘Chemin de la Liberte' was the toughest of several escape routes across the Pyrenees during the Second World War; following in the footsteps of history, from France to Spain, a 4-day hike covering 40 miles.
Having spent over 24 years in the Royal Navy and with the support of friends and family I consider myself lucky to have adjusted to civilian life, that is not always the case for other veterans.
Working for Care after Combat has highlighted the challenges Veterans have to adjust to when they leave the Service and the shortcomings of both the Service and other agencies who are their to help them.
Care after Combat is a small Charity that does make a difference, so please help me to help those who need a second chance.
