Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was inspired to walk 10,000 steps a day in March through several Facebook ads for charities. I kept quiet about it since I wasn't sure I could do it. On the first day I walked only 8,000 steps (which was about double the norm!). On the second day I walked 12,000 steps to make up for it and vowed not to do less than 10,000 a day thereafter.

Fast forward a month and the adventures and health benefits I'd seen made me realise that it was something I should continue. I saw another ad asking people to walk 1 million steps in 3 months and so I have decided to take this challenge and make it my own. Since I am now half way through I am confident I can do it. And I want other people to bear witness and with a bit of luck, raise some funds along the way!

I have chosen to support the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales. The majority of my adventures since lockdown began have been in these areas (when allowed outside of course!) and the importance of saving as many natural habitats around our beautiful country has been pressed home upon me.

Getting out for walks in the national parks has been my saving grace this last year. Please donate if you can so they're here for future generations.

Every little helps!
