Story
What could be worse than spending a cold, wet night in a dark and muddy car park in November ?
The shocking realisation that you have somehow agreed to do it again...
For the second time, a group of senior managers from CEF (City Electrical Factors) will be supporting the St Basil’s BIG SLEEPOUT and spending a November night in a car park in Birmingham – although this time round they have used their powers of persuasion to convince some of their colleagues that it’s a night not to be missed.
On Friday 25th November instead of their natural habitat of a comfortable office, warm van or plush car, the CEF team hope to raise £10,000 for St Basil’s - a charity that works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the Midlands.
At any one time, St Basil’s can have over 400 young people living in one of their 27 supported accommodation schemes and help over 4,000 people each year break the cycle of homelessness by giving them the necessary skills and training.
So please give generously – would you choose to spend a night sleeping outside in Birmingham in the cold in November ? Well CEF did – but unfortunately for some, it’s not a choice that’s theirs to make.
