Story
Hi! Thanks for coming to take a look at my fundraising page, and sorry for having badgered you to visit!
Cancer affects more or less everyone, one way or another. Some 50% of us will be unfortunate enough to directly suffer ourselves, and others will see it come for our loved ones. It has been responsible for the deaths of both of my grandfathers - one so long ago that we were never able to properly meet. It continues to affect people I care about today.
In order to do my bit to help Cancer Research UK in funding their vital work, I'm dedicating my latest adventure to them. For this challenge, I'll be walking 100km from Richmond in London to Brighton on 27-28 May 2023. Some participants will be camping overnight, but not me. Aside from some short breaks for food and a little rest, I'm planning to walk through the night, expecting to complete the course in around 28 hours (though, to be honest, I have no idea how slow things will get when fatigue sets in). I'm sure it'll be uncomfortable, painful, and a challenge to keep going - much like a battle with cancer can be. However, I'll have the light at the end of my tunnel in the form of that far-off finish line, and I'd be grateful if you could help support CRUK to give cancer sufferers their own chance to see that light.
