Story
I'm under no illusions that this is going to be an easy challenge. It's Scotland!!! But ..........This charity is something which is very close to my heart, as many of
you already know I have a beautiful Granddaughter who is nearly five. Four
weeks after her birth my daughter developed serious complications which
came very close to something happening which I don't even want to think
about, she pulled through after a year of treatment.
I was looking through a magazine one day and saw an article on this
charity and decided that I really needed to support them, and get across how much they are really needed.
I cover all my own costs. All funds raised go towards medical research to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions affecting women and their babies. This includes prem-labour,cerebral palsy, miscarriage, infertillity, ovarian cancer, and genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy
I have taken part in many rides for this extremely important charity,
last year I rode John O'Groats to Lands End, and loved every minute of the challenge even though we had every weather condition imaginable. Blood, sweat and tears were
seen by many of us women but we still go back for more because we
believe in the work the The Genesis Research Trust does.
