Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. After 25 years of continuous beard wearing (is that the correct term?), i have decided to have a break. My sons, Marc(24)& Andrew(19), had never seen me without a beard, and have been visibly shaken since the deed was done! The idea was , that on the occasion of my 50th birthday, the beard had to go!!!!I have decided to raise money for St John's hospice as they provide a valuable service for so many local people that I, and a great many of you reading this now, know and have known.

I would like to express my appreciation to Mark from NJ's barbers on westgate in Morecambe, for donating his time to do the dirtywork, and also assisting in collecting donations.

I would also like to thank 'Silent Mark', and his monday evening show on DiversityFM (.co.uk) Radio (103.5 fm), for providing valuable publicity and generously donating.
