Story
Richard House Children's Hospice provides specialist care to
children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across London,
supporting more than 300 families. More than ever it is vital that
Richard House is able to provide care for these
children, who are all in the most vulnerable and at-risk categories in the
present crisis, and their families.
Richard House needs to raise £350k within the next quarter in order to stay operational
The Hospice runs 5 rooms at present, but is setting up additional rooms
to provide care to children with life-threatening conditions who would normally
be cared for by NHS staff at Newham hospital, keeping them safer and freeing up
NHS beds.
It will cost £2,000 per day to keep just one of those rooms
operating including provision of essential medical/clinical care - that is a
total of £14,000 per week.
