Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I started running for fun about 5 years ago and was really pleased when I completed my first 5 km run. Since then I've done the Race for Life in Cambridge and the London Moonwalk. I really wanted to run a marathon before I hit the big '50' but wasn't sure I would be successful when entering the ballot for this year's London Marathon. When I learnt I had got in I was really excited, but this was quickly followed by thinking 'What have I done?'! I've been training really hard and am determined to complete it.

I'm running it to raise money for Parkinson's as my dad was diagnosed with it about 7 years ago and it's been hard to see the way it has affected him. Any money that I'm able to raise will go towards researching this disease which affects so many people. Thank you for any donation you are able to give - it will all help to keep me going!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
