Story
Hi everyone, thank you for visiting our page.
Mike and I are running the London Marathon on 17th April 2011. We decided to put ourselves forward for this challenge (some more willing than others!!) to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. This amazing charity was a huge support to Mum when she was fighting cancer both at home and in hospital.
It is a charity that is close to our hearts and does a lot of great work in supporting people with cancer and their families, as it has for both our families. So it is very important to us that we raise as much money possible.
A Little About Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. We provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care. One in three of us will get cancer. Two million of us are living with it. We are all affected by cancer. We can all help. We are Macmillan.
Macmillan provide cancer patients and their families with ongoing essential support. They provide things from lifts to hospitals, to financial help to cover additional costs that cancer brings. They fund Macmillan nurses and other social care professionals including conultants, dieticians, radiographers, speech therapists and benefit advisors.
- 99% of Macmillan services are funded entirely by YOU the supporter!
By visiting our page and hopefully donating you are motivating us to go out on dark, wet, freezing cold nights to train for the 26.2 miles that we are attempting to run! Having run the Great North Run last year, the thought of running double that is terrifying but also very exciting!
Thank you very much for reading our page and please don't log off before pressing the big green button!!
