In the 1990's my nan passed away from the effects of a stroke, as did a neighbour, then another neighbour.  And thousands more people since as well as before.

What is a Stroke, well I am not really sure I am qualified to explained, but I can tell you from what I have seen, is that it take away the lives of the fittest people, the oldest people and it does not discriminate. 

But this year, after watching my cousin complete this ride for about 8 year running, I thought I would get up and join him and his team.  So come May time 4 of us will set off as a team, criss-crossing the great river Thames, from Greenwich to Richmond.  Covering 55 miles in the process and with the single of aim of raising money for a noble charity which tries hard to do some good.

So, if you can contribute something, no matter how small, or inspire others to donate, club together, or fund raise something yourselves, then please do so, as everything counts.

And if you can’t afford to make a donation, then we understand as it is tough out there at the moment and so all I ask is that you do something positive instead.
