We raise money & awareness to lift children & women out of poverty

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are Brunel Tamil society and a group of our Tsoc members will be doing a series of challenges over the next few weeks in order to raise money for Serendip Children's Home.

This Charity aims to provide sustainable & critical assistance and empower the most vulnerable in society in the north & east of Sri Lanka.

They have set up many projects including the following:

1. Provisions for Elderly:
We supply dry foods for elderly people which will last them for a whole month. These include rice, milk powder, dhal, sugar and flour.

2. Livelihood Projects:
Where we provide support for single female headed households for them to start a business/generate income for themselves. This could be through providing chickens and a hut, providing goats/cows, providing sewing machine and more.

3: Breakfast for Children:
This project has been on hold due to lockdown in Sri Lanka but we are hoping that it will be up and running as soon as schools open up. We provide a number of pre-schools with breakfast meals.

Please donate as little or as much as you would like, to support the struggling families back home. Every donations will make a difference, SO GET DONATING!
