Story
On 8th July a team of riders from Hiscox and invited guests will cycle Stage 8 of the 2016 Tour de France the day before the professionals. Stage 8 is a punishing route with four climbs, including the iconic Col du Tourmalet (elevation 6,939 ft, the highest paved mountain pass in the French Pyrenees).
The full event includes riding 148km from Pau to Bagneres du Luchon (climbing iconic mountains of the Tourmalet, a continuous 19km climb) and the Peyresourde (around 12km of climbing) as well as two other less well known 'mini mountains'.
Whilst I will certainly be suffering a fair amount on the day, it's the least I can do to help my chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation. My heart will be under strain for much of the event but it's a small price to pay towards the good work that the BHF does every day to help others.
Please could I ask that you take a few minutes to donate however much you can spare to help us raise as much as we possibly can in 2016.
Many thanks, Bruce
