On April 8th 2012 I lost a dear friend and one of my closest friends had his world turned upside down. Emily passed away in her sleep due to complications with Type 1 Diabetes.
In her memory, a team of us (friends and family of Emily) are running the 2013 London marathon for Diabetes UK, a charity Em was very passionate about. This will be the biggest single team that Diabetes UK has ever had.
I have ran one marathon before. It was a week after Emily passed away. It was very emotional not having her there as she was intending to come and support us all. I ran for her and it pushed me to get a far better time than expected. After that I swore I would never run a marathon again, however this worthy cause has led me to don my running boots again.
If you'd like to support Diabetes UK and my attempt to complete my second marathon then please donate. Thank you.
