Story
I'm walking to raise funds for Teen Challenge during September National Recovery Month. Funds raised through the Walk for Recovery will support the mission of Teen Challenge of Southern California to bring hope and healing to men and women caught in addiction. Please help me by supporting my campaign with a donation. I greatly appreciate your help and support!
I am currently a Teacher Advisor for the Bakersfield Teen Challenge Women's Campus, but before that I was a student! I was homeless, addicted to Heroin and Methamphetamines, I thought there was no hope for me. But that was not true! I was saved by grace, from that addiction, after the loss of my brother, God chose to help me out of that lifestyle. As a student, I found what true love was. The Hope and Freedom of following Jesus Christ. He showed me that obedience and self control were tools that I was lacking, and that what I needed was a Savior that I could trust, and who could show me how to live a godly lifestyle.
Today I owe all that I am, and who I have become to God almighty. Because I have seen this Ministry work in my life and the lives of my peers and Alumni, I am raising $1000 for our 5k Virtual Walk for recovery. Please prayerfully consider sponsoring me for $10, $25, or $50 or whatever the Lord has placed on your heart.
God Bless!
