Story
Brian was a very kind, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many of you. When our boys were young he always got involved in their sporting activities, taking on the role of coaching, helping out etc.
Whilst living in Wanstead Brian transformed many houses and worked his magic fixing problems. Lots of Tom & Matts friends worked with Brian during the school holidays earning their first wages and learning skills (hopefully helpful).
When Brian was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 36 it was a devastating diagnosis- our family and friends were very supportive and after treatment the tumour shrank and never bothered him again.
In 2007-8 we went off travelling around the world for 10 months, and then a further 3 months in Spain. It was filled with lots of adventures and meeting many great young people.
In 2011 we decided to move up north to be closer to our two boys. We bought a house and Brian worked his magic and transformed it. Life was good until February 2023 when a large tumour was removed from his pelvic area. It was a particularly nasty rare one and when it returned again in December 2023 there was no treatment. In January 2024 he got sepsis and passed away peacefully with us all by his side. We are all heartbroken 💔 and cannot imagine life without him. His four grandsons have lost their patient teacher of Monopoly, chess, snap, dominoes and Lego builder. His sons have lost their mentor for all the building jobs he always helped them with. I have lost my grumpy other half who yelled at the TV when West Ham were playing badly!!! I know you all have memories of your time with Brian and he would never have dreamt how much he meant to you all!
Thank you for being in his life that has ended too soon.
RIP my darling and thank you for giving me a wonderful life with you ❤️❤️❤️
