 Brian Windmill went to Malawi in the 1980s as a volunteer and did what he could to support the creation of new enterprises.  He felt uncomfortable about the difference in status between Malawians and aid agency workers and tried to live and work as simply as he could.  Brian died in October 2020 but social justice was important to Brian and he was very conscious of environmental issues.  He felt very strongly about the developed world’s unfair dominance of the planet’s resources and believed that being able to have clean water was one of the first requirements for health and autonomy.
