It's my 40th birthday and quite simply there's nothing I need. So rather than people buy presents, I'd much rather you made a small donation to charity. My chosen charity is the Bield Small Grants Fund.

Bield provides housing and care services to older people across Scotland. We have a Small Grants Fund from which we give small amounts of money to our schemes and projects to help improve the quality of life of our tenants. Examples might be garden furniture, bingo machines or Wii consoles, all designed to keep our tenants physically active and to reduce social isolation of older people. The small grants fund relies entirely on charitable fundraising.
