The Tour Ride - 50 Mile at Stoke On Trent · 1 September 2013

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Family, Friends, Romans..

I have signed up to cycle part of one of the 2012 Tour of Britain stages'.  The stage in question is the Stoke-On-Trent stage, starting at Trentham Gardens, going to Cheadle, up towards Leek and then back again.  Overall, it is a total of 50 miles.

I haven't really ridden a bike since I was but a wee teenager in the 80's, so this will be a challenge and a half.  I've got 3 weeks of training left, but I have been cycling for the last 3-4 weeks.  So, hopefully, I'll be some sort of shape to tackle the ride.  This ride is a really good challenge so, to help spur me on, I've decided to try and raise some money for a good and worthy cause.

My God Daughter and my Cousin's Son have both been diagnosed with Autism. So, I have chosen to support this after reading what the NAS has done through out the UK to support Autism.

I am hoping that, together, we can give some help to the charity to help those who need it.

Cheers

Brett
