Just want to say thank you everyone... Your amazing and helping such a great cause... 2 days to go before we start, a little nervous but extremely excited! Wooooffff sore bums here we come!!!xxxx THANK YOU!!!
On February 14th 2012 an amazing woman named Sue Turner lost her battle against breast cancer ... She was an inspirational captain to me and many other golfers, a loyal friend, a loving wife and extremely proud mum... Her sheer determination and passion rubbed off on so many that worked along side and underneath Sue. She always believed in you and helped you to believe in yourself.
Sue had a massive impact not only on my golfing career but also my life, I spent many training weekends and tournaments with Sue from a very early age, until I turned professional in 2009. She was extremely encouraging, and believed in me. She was a true legend and one of the most influential people that's been a part of my life.
Sue's chosen charity was Break Through Breast Cancer which happens to be the Ladies Golf Union's chosen charity for the Curtis Cup match to be played 8th-10th of June this year at Nairn Golf Club, Scotland. It was always Sue's dream to be a part of a Curtis Cup team and she was due to manage the team this year but unfotunately unable to fulfill that dream. I then decided that as a tribute to Sue I'm going to play in the past players match Thursday prior to the event, but I felt that wasn't enough. So my boyfriend, Jonny, suggested that I should cycle to Nairn and he would support me all the way.
SOOOOOO..... Here we are asking you to support myself, Jonny, my step-mum Jayne (who also spent a lot of time with Sue - mainly at the bar) and as many more people as we possibly can to join "Team Sue T" on this 177mile adventure from Glasgow to Nairn in three days, averaging approximately 60miles a day, estimated 6hours a day, cycle through the highlands and all sorts....
please please please be so kind to help prevent this from happening again....
