Story
I am currently volunteering for a 3 month period on a Dolphin and Whale conservation project for the Atlantic Whale and Dolphin Foundation in Tenerife.
The project is run by a UK charity called Fair Earth Foundation (charity number 1167109) who are involved in various different projects, raising funds to help protect our planet.
I have been set a fundraising task in which I will hike up Mount Teide mountain in Tenerife to raise funds for the charity. The funds raised will then be used for a tree planting project, to help our planet fight against global warming.
The Mountain hike will not only be a personnal accomplishment for me, after having ACL knee surgery on 25th June 2021, in which a graft was taken from my Patellar tendon to repair my knee (after a football injury) BUT it will also give me great satisfaction knowing I've contributed to a really good cause to help the 'Plant a Tree, Fund a Dream' project.
